Matrix Pills

For a worship gathering in which you are calling people to make a clear decision or step of faith, try showing the scene from “The Matrix” where Morpheus invites Neo to take the blue pill and return to his artificial life of deception or take the red pill and enter the more difficult but authentic existence outside the Matrix. Place baskets filled with large red “Hot Tamale” candies (which resemble the pills from the film) at strategic spots in your worship space and later in the service, invite people to come forward and take a red pill as a symbol of their decision to respond to whatever message you are communicating that day. You can decide if you want people to actually eat the candy or take it with them as a reminder of their decision.
